Fans Are Perplexed by Sugababes Cocaine Joke at the 2023 BRIT Awards

When Daisy May Cooper presented an award at the 2023 BRIT Awards in London, she made a bizarre cocaine joke about Mutya Buena and her bandmates that confused fans.
At this year’s BRIT Awards, a strange cocaine joke was directed at The Sugababes. The joke was made by actress and comedian Daisy May Cooper, 36, as she gave The 1975 the Best Alternative Rock award at the 2023 ceremony on Saturday, February 11 night in London’s O2 Arena.
“God, we saw the Sugababes when we entered the restroom earlier. They were lovely, and they weren’t using cocaine “Despite the Sugababes not being nominated in any categories, she stated while sporting a little black leather minidress.
Daisy’s microphone popped as she spoke, yet the joke was nonetheless included in the BRITs coverage. The Sugababes had previously walked the red carpet alongside other renowned people, including Siobhan Donaghy, 38, in a purple suit, Mutya Buena, 37, in a strappy black dress that displayed her leg tattoos, and Keisha Buchanan, 38, who went braless in an enormous grey and white striped suit.
Together with the 34-year-old actress Selin Hizli, with whom she co-starred in the friendship and stalker comedy “Am I Being Unreasonable,” Daisy presented the award.
Before Lewis Capaldi performed his ballad “Forget Me,” BRITs host Mo Gilligan apologized for addressing the singer incorrectly. The comedian, who is 34, described the musician as
“Sam Capaldi”—a name that seems to be a combination of Sam Smith and Lewis.
When viewers criticized the presenter, stating it might have distracted Lewis from singing, Mo later apologized, saying, “I do apologise I did call him Sam.” He continued, “They’re (the drinks) not playing around,” while jokingly blaming the cocktails being offered at the ceremony.
