How to defend yourself against an attack

Introduction

To be honest, I never thought that someone would try to attack me. But I am here now with you, and I want you to know how to defend yourself against an attack.

Scream or yell to alert people who might be nearby and also to frighten your attacker.

Screaming or yelling is a great way to alert people who might be nearby and also to frighten your attacker. You can yell “help”, “fire”, “rape” or “murder”. If you are attacked in a public place, you should scream for help as loudly as possible:

  • If there is someone close by, they will come running.
  • The person attacking you will run away scared because he/she knows that most people would not want to be around this type of situation.

It’s important that we learn how to defend ourselves against an attack when it happens so that we can avoid becoming victims ourselves!

Attack any sensitive areas of the body — eyes, nose, throat, and groin.

  • Attack any sensitive areas of the body — eyes, nose, throat, and groin.
  • Use a phone or other object to distract your attacker.

Run away from your attacker as fast as you can.

  • Run away from your attacker as fast as you can. Don’t run toward the attacker, and don’t turn your back on him or her.
  • Don’t try to tackle your attacker—this will only cause more harm than good, and it might make you an easier target for others. If someone tries to grab hold of you, pull away sharply and shout “Stop!” This will probably be enough to scare them off temporarily; if not, keep yelling until they do get scared off by the sound of your voice alone (or at least until the police arrive).
  • If there is no one around who can help in time then scream loudly so that everyone knows what’s going on before calling 911 for help.*

Use a phone or other object to distract your attacker.

  • Use a phone or other object to distract your attacker. If you’re in danger, hit the panic button on your phone quickly and dial 911. The police will be able to arrive immediately and arrest the attacker before he can do any more harm.
  • Record the attack with your phone (or another camera). This will help build evidence against him later on so that if he goes through with his plan of harming you physically and/or sexually, there’ll be proof that it was all because he wanted revenge for something else (like stealing something from him).
  • Take pictures of all aspects of the situation: where it happened, who did what when etc., so that if anyone asks questions about what happened later on down the road when someone gets arrested by police officers who have been dispatched by the dispatch center located somewhere nearby where crime often happens enough but never happens locally enough yet–the person answering questions won’t lie about why there aren’t any witnesses around at all times because nobody ever sees anything happen there except maybe once every decade since the 1980s when suddenly everything changed overnight!

The best defense is to get away from the person who wants to harm you.

The best defense is to get away from the person who wants to harm you. If that’s not possible, then you should use any object you have at your disposal as a weapon in self-defense situations. This may include an umbrella or golf club (if it’s raining), pepper spray, and/or a knife—or even your bare hands if necessary!

The key here is being prepared for anything: always be armed with more than just one form of defense; never leave yourself vulnerable by going unarmed, and always be aware of how much distance you can cover before needing help from others who might come along later on down the line.

Conclusion

The best defense is to get away from the person who wants to harm you. If you are attacked, don’t panic and try not to fight back. Instead, scream or yell to alert people who might be nearby and also to frighten your attacker. Attack any sensitive areas of the body — eyes, nose, throat, and groin. Run away from your attacker as fast as you can. Use a phone or other object to distract your attacker. The problem with this method is that if there aren’t enough people around then they may not hear your cries for help; however, if there are enough people then they will come running when they hear your screams!
