Kim Kardashian Closely Trolled Over Her Balenciaga Credit Card Earrings
The coveted $425 earrings are from The House’s Spring 2020 Collection and were inspired by the opulent, ultra-exclusive American Express Black Card.
Kim Kardashian is renowned for her distinctive style. The “Kardashian” star’s choice of accessories for her appearance on “Good Morning America” on Tuesday, September 20, sparked a stir online.
The TV star wore a pair of Balenciaga’s sought-after, out-of-production credit card earrings when stopping by the morning talk program to promote season 2 of the Hulu series about her famous family. The luxurious, extremely rare American Express Black Card served as inspiration for the style of the earrings. It’s from the house’s spring 2020 collection and features designer Demna’s own interpretation of the Mastercard emblem.
Fans didn’t like the appearance and turned to social media to mock Kim and express their confusion over the $425 piece’s retail price. “What kind of earrings is @KimKardashian sporting? One Twitter user questioned, “Credit cards?” They are contactless pay equipped, a hater joked. Does she use her head to tap the payment terminal to make a purchase? How does that function?
Someone even advised the creator of SKIMS to discard the earrings since they were unimpressed with the accessories. The individual said, “Kim, whatever those earrings are, no matter how much they cost, just take them off and toss them away!” Another person, however, criticized Kim’s hair as well as the earrings, claiming that the “atrociously hideous earrings” were intended to hide “her” from view.
