While reacting to Tinubu’s victory, Yakassai urged the President-Elect not to bow to the pressure of forming a government of national unity.

ACF warns Tinubu after election victory

The elder statesman gave the warning during an interview at his residence in Abuja on Wednesday, March 1st, a report by The Punch confirmed.
Yakasai kicked against the recommendation by political analysts and some governors under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), saying “it is not good for the development of democracy in any given society.”
Tinubu Sets to Meet Atiku, Obi, Kwankwaso, Tables Strong Appeals
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president-elect, has constituted a reconciliation committee to meet with Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for the sake of the country.
Rotimi Akeredolu, the governor of Ondo state, disclosed this on Wednesday, March 1, adding that elders of the All Progressives Congress dominated the committee.
Other presidential candidates the committee will meet are Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the Labour Party and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
